Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF)

The Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) sets the European Union's long-term budget and determines funding priorities over a seven-year period. It provides the financial framework for key research and innovation programmes, including FP10 and related initiatives that support Europe's competitiveness, sustainability and technological leadership.

MFF Task Force

The MFF Task Force monitors and assesses policy developments related to the European Union's next Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF), with a particular focus on research, innovation and competitiveness. It provides a platform for EAIC members to exchange insights, coordinate positions and contribute to discussions shaping the future of EU funding programmes.

The Task Force supports the association's advocacy efforts and helps ensure members remain informed and engaged throughout the MFF negotiations.​

Objectives
  • Monitor and analyse policy developments related to the next Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF).
  • Coordinate EAIC member input and develop common positions on key legislative and policy initiatives.
  • Identify strategic opportunities for engagement with European institutions and other stakeholders.
  • Build on and promote EAIC's existing policy positions on the MFF, FP10, NRPPs and the European Competitiveness Fund.
  • Keep members informed of developments affecting EU research and innovation funding.
